1. The Flower Shop Dark Fountain in Hometown

Throughout Chapters 1 through 4, players noticed the mysterious locked backroom of Asgore's shop ("Flower King"). On the morning of Festival Day in Chapter 5, Kris and Susie visit the shop to find the conservatory doors wide open, shrouded in violet mist.

The seven colored glass cases—representing the seven SOUL colors—shimmer with dark energy. Stepping past the cases plunges the heroes into the botanical Dark World.

2. Persona as the Flower King

Inside the Dark World, Asgore does not wield his fiery trident as a fearsome boss. Instead, he acts as the benevolent, slightly bewildered Flower King:

Adorned in an ornate cape woven from living ivy and golden petals.
Strives to maintain peace between the colorful sentinels and the ambitious Sovereign Flowery.
Offers Kris warm cups of Golden Flower Tea that grant a +20 maximum HP buffer during subsequent battles.

3. Key Dialogue Choices with Susie and Kris

During the climactic scene in the Flower Castle greenhouse, Susie challenges Asgore about why he always retreats into his flowers instead of confronting reality in Hometown:

Dialogue Branch: When Susie demands, "Are you just gonna hide behind these weeds forever?", choosing Kris’s option "He’s trying his best" grants Asgore the resolve to intervene during Phase 3 of the Flowery battle, redirecting a fatal solar strike away from Susie.
